Your first clean is an exciting milestone. Good preparation helps you feel confident, make a great impression and deliver a 5-star experience for your customer.

Be prepared. Feel confident. Make a great first impression!

Confirm the details

Check all the booking information in your Cleaner Network dashboard, including:

Date and time

Know exactly when you need to arrive.

Address

Check the full address and any access notes.

Type of clean

Review what's included (e.g. regular clean, deep clean, one-off).

Special instructions

Look for any specific requests or areas to focus on.

Plan your travel

Give yourself plenty of time to arrive on time, especially for a first visit.

Tip: Use a map app to check the route and consider parking options.

Allow extra time

Arrive a few minutes early if possible.

Prepare your cleaning supplies

Make sure you have all the products and equipment you need for the job.

  • Multi-surface cleaner
  • Bathroom cleaner
  • Glass cleaner
  • Disinfectant
  • Microfibre cloths (different colours)
  • Mop and bucket
  • Vacuum cleaner (if needed)
  • Bin bags
  • Gloves
  • Spare cloths and scourers
  • Any specialist products for the type of clean
  • A fully charged phone

During the clean

Work through the agreed tasks, keeping an eye on time and quality.

Once you've finished:

Check your work

Walk through the main areas to make sure you're happy.

Let the customer know

Inform them the clean is complete and ask if they're happy.

Encourage a review

A quick, friendly request can help you get your first review.

Mark as complete

Update the booking in your Cleaner Network dashboard.
